Pringles pops open likes
Pringles’ motto of ‘once you’ve popped, you can’t stop’ is certainly true for the 1.7M UK Facebook users that liked its page.
The snack firm also has 27M ‘likes’ globally. Created in 1992, the brand – owned by The Kellogg Company – encourages people to share their love and ask questions to the brands’ mascot Mr P.
The brand uses its Facebook page to show its support for the latest Hollywood movies, its sponsorship of sporting events and share recipe tips.
A spokeswoman for the brand told FoodManufacture.co.uk: “Pringles is all about fun and sharing which is why Facebook works so well for us as we can use it as a platform to engage fans with quirky stories and brand news and keep it front of mind.”
Kellogg acquired Pringles from Proctor and Gamble for £1.7bn in 2012.
