Cadbury Creme Egg has cracked it
Despite only being on sale for just under four months of the year, Cadbury Creme Egg makes the top three most liked brands by UK Facebook users.
The Easter treat, owned by Mondelez International, has 2.3M likes on the social networking site, according the latest statistics from Social Bakers.
The firm encourages people to “have a fling with a Creme Egg whilst you can” on its Facebook page.
It also promotes clean eggy banter on its page.
This year, the eggs were available between January 1 and April 20 2014.
The firm remains pretty quiet, rarely posting pictures or status updates, outside of the time the eggs are on sale.
Earlier this year, Mondelez International said it couldn’t rule out jobs cuts in the £75M overhaul of its Cadbury Bournville plant – which makes Cadbury Creme Eggs – near Birmingham.
