Coca-Cola narrowly misses out on being the most liked brand on UK Facebook ‘likes’, with 2.5M according to Social Bakers.
However, the firm is the number one drinks brand in the world with more than 81M ‘likes’.
The drinks giant describes its Facebook page as “a collection of your stories showing how people from around the world have helped make Coke into what it is today”.
In the build up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which starts on June 12, Cola-Cola is currently running a number of football-themed promotions on its Facebook page.
Such as a competition to get your ‘soccer selfie’ to the opening match of the tournament and match ball giveaways.
Coca-Cola invited fans to send in ‘selfies’ to be included in largest flag mosaic ever created to be unveiled at the tournament.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, Coca-Cola Enterprises announced it would have invested £227M in its operations in Great Britain in the past four years – once it had injected £52M in the business this year.
