New sugar substitute for foodservice industry
Dietary Foods has launched a new variants of its Sweet’N Low Stevia sugar substitute that is targeted at the chefs in the foodservice industry.
The stevia-based product is designed to replace sugar used in recipes. When used in recipes where sugar is used for sweetening, such as custard, caterers can replace the sugar content with Stevia at a 10:1 ratio.
Nick Stillingfleet, commercial director at Dietary Foods, said: “This product is the result of many months of formulation and significant research.
“It is absolutely perfect for chefs from a timing perspective with so much press highlighting the need to significantly reduce sugar in our diets.”
