New president at BSDA
Lucozade Ribena Suntory’s boss Peter Harding was appointed new president of the British Soft Drinks Association (BSDA).
Harding, who had held the role of vice president since the last board election two years’ ago, took over from Dave Wallwork.
His previous role will now be carried out by Coca-Cola Enterprises Great Britain general manager and vice president Leendert den Hollander.
Harding, who was announced as president at the BSDA’s annual general meeting this month, said he was delighted with the new role.
Harding joined GlaxoSmithKline in 1998 as vice president, marketing for nutritional healthcare.
Since then, he has held a number of management positions and overseen the transition of the Lucozade and Ribena brands to its new owner Suntory in 2013. He took on his current role of chief executive officer of Lucozade Ribena Suntory in 2014.
