Tiptree launches ‘heaven in a jar’
Essex jam and spreads firm Tiptree released a salted caramel and a banoffee spread and a sweet pepper relish last month.
All three products have been released under its Wilkin & Sons brand.
Scott Goodfellow, sales director at Wilkin & Sons, said both spreads could be used in a variety of cakes, pastries and desserts and were perfect on piping hot toast.
“Our salted caramel spread is like heaven in a jar,” he claimed. “I keep a pot on my desk with several spoons to hand, just for special occasions.
“This sweet pepper relish is based on a recipe first suggested ten years ago, good ideas sometimes take years to reach fruition.”
