Sesame sparks recall by Asco Foods
Asco Foods has recalled packs of its Dee Thai Crispy Rolls – Durian Flavour because they contain sesame, which wasn’t declared on the packaging.
Included in the recall were 150g packs of the Crispy Rolls, with the best-before dates of end of August 2019, December 2019 and March 2020.
The product was recalled as a precautionary measure, as it posed a possible health risk to consumers with an allergy to sesame.
As with the other products recalled for undeclared allergens, the Food Standards Agency advised consumers not to eat the product and instead return it to the store it was purchased from to receive a full refund.
