Sainsbury’s recalls biscuits for undeclared allergen
Big four supermarket Sainsbury’s has recalled 186g packs of its Breakfast Biscuit products for containing undeclared allergens.
Both the retailer’s Coconut & Yogurt Gilled Breakfast Biscuits and Cocoa Filled Breakfast Biscuits were found to contain sesame that wasn’t mentioned on the packaging.
This made the products a possible health risk to consumers with an allergy or intolerance to the ingredient.
The recall applied to all best-before and use-by dates of the affected packs. Consumers who had bought the products were advised to return them to their nearest store to receive a refund.
