Cider joins iconic Jack Daniel’s whiskey brand
Whiskey giant Jack Daniel’s has launched its first ever cider, debuting in the UK ahead of a global rollout.
Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Cider combines the brand’s original whiskey with apple cider and is sold in a bottle with a black and white label – similar in design to Jack Daniel’s whiskey.
Charlotte Ashburner, head of marketing for Jack Daniel’s owner Brown Forman, said: “There is a great appetite for cider among UK consumers and the launch gives people a new way to enjoy Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, which has all the bold attitude of Jack, but with the ease and refreshment of a premium cider.
“We are increasingly seeing drink brands outside of the cider category experiment with the traditional boundaries of cider, triggering consumers to think differently about how they drink it.”
