Primula Cheese’s new product innovation manager
Primula Cheese’s newly created position of product innovation manager has been filled by Peggy van Rooyen this month (July 6).
The role will focus on the future of the company, including identifying new processes and spotting opportunities growth in the spreadable cheese category.
Rooyen – who established the gluten-free dessert company Glamour Puds in 2012 – joins Primula after a series of short freelance innovation projects in the UK, US and Ireland.
“I’ve got my ideal role. I’m creative and passionate about food so this role truly plays to my strengths,” said Rooyen.
“What I’m great at is the ideas – what we can do, what processes we have that we can exploit to the benefit of the brand.
“Primula is such a strong product to start with that it provides us with a multitude of opportunities, all of which I’m excited to explore.”
Rooyen will be based at Primula Cheese’s UK headquarters in Gateshead.
