5. AHDB
Nick White has been appointed as the new head of domestic marketing for beef and lamb at the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB).
White originally joined AHDB in 2013, when he acted as interim head of marketing for AHDB Beef & Lamb (then EBLEX) for a 12-month period. During this time he instigated the successful Mini Roast campaign, which continues to be core to the organisation’s market development strategy.
He then moved into the head of marketing role for AHDB Potatoes (previously the Potato Council), where he launched the three-year EU campaign, Potatoes – More Than a Bit on the Side.
He brings a wealth of marketing knowledge to the role. He has previously held senior marketing positions for companies including First Milk, where he was marketing director of their cheese portfolio, and MüllerDairy, where he was head of marketing for Ireland and had UK responsibility for a number of their popular brands.
White said: “I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to head up the domestic marketing team for beef and lamb.
“Encouraging consumption of quality assured beef and lamb is a key part of our work to support the long-term sustainability of the sector.”
