Mondelēz’s massive aims
Mondelēz veteran Paul Sinclair revealed how he hoped a £40M in its coffee plant in Banbury would make it a global hub.
Having joined the company 20 years ago – long before its management buyout by Kraft in 2010 – Sinclair has seen change at the business but counted his current role as his biggest achievement.
Sinclair had to fight off other plants in the business, mainly in Germany, to win the investment.
As plant director, he will oversee the installation of two new Tassimo lines to produce more than 700M coffee capsules each year.
The keen Watford Football Club supporter admitted it would be a “huge project” with more than 80% of the capsules exported from western Europe. With an additional 5,000t of coffee beans needed to supply the new lines, a further 80 new jobs will be created, Sinclair said.
