Faccenda boss outlines challenges
Poultry processor Faccenda’s Telford general manager Catherine Gormley told Food Manufacture she enjoys challenging both her mind and body outside of work during our visit to the Shropshire site.
Challenge number one in her work life is to get returns for a £33M investment programme that boosted capacity by 20% to 1.2M birds a week.
Lean workshops and other training sessions will be the initial strategy for Gormley to get these returns, she told us. Gormley will also research the potential to boost capacity by a further 1.8M
The former Coca-Cola Enterprises manager said campylobacter would remain a constant concern.
Faccenda’s Brackley site has recently trailed SonoSteam technology to help combat the pathogen.
