Potts plans management cuts
The new leader revealed at the end of March plans to cut 20 senior managers from Morrisons in a bid to create a leaner business.
A Morrisons spokeswoman said:“Following the announcement of a reshaped management board, we have had a number of redundancy conversations with senior managers at the next level in our organisation. These are aimed at creating a simpler, leaner Morrisons.”
Leading market analyst Julian Wild said he wouldn’t be surprised if Potts brought in his own people, sold the retailer’s factories and ran the business like Tesco.
