Potts gets in tune with his staff
Morrisons staff requested Potts update the “repetitive” playlist currently broadcast over the retailer’s tannoy.
As a result, almost 9,000 new songs were added to every supermarket’s playlist before the Easter weekend.
Potts said staff told him the music in stores was getting a bit tired.
“We want to listen and make shopping and working with Morrisons a better experience,” he said. “That includes coming to this new musical arrangement with our colleagues and customers.”
The new compilation, developed to appeal to all tastes, is expected to include hits by Jack Johnson, John Legend, Beyoncé, The Cure, Morcheeba, U2 and Texas and went live in all 505 UK supermarkets on Good Friday (April 3).
