Allan takes Tesco top job
Tesco ended its five-month search for Richard Broadbent’s successor with the appointment of John Allan as chairman.
Broadbent resigned in October 2014 after Tesco overstated its first half profits by £263M.
Allan will assume the role on March 1 2014. He is currently non-executive chairman of Dixons Retail and Barratt Developments.
City analysts Shore Capital praised his grocery knowledge.
