New president for ice cream trade body
Angelo Susca was appointed president of the Ice Cream Alliance this month.
Susca’s appointment caps off a life dedicated to the ice cream industry, having started selling ice cream from a trailer as a child, before establishing his own company.
Susca said: “The ice cream sector has faced a number of challenges in recent years particularly from rising commodity prices. Fortunately, it is made up of incredibly resilient and resourceful people and they have weathered the economic storm.
“The outlook for 2014 is much more optimistic and I am looking forward to using my experience and knowledge to help our members to build and maintain high quality and successful businesses.”
Ice Cream Alliance ceo Zelica Carr, said his enviable knowledge would be an invaluable asset to the members of the trade body.
