Sutherland reportedly resigned at an emergency board meeting, this month, blaming his inability to introduce key changes in the business.
The National Farmers Union appointed Meurig Raymond as the successor to Peter Kendall as its new president, Young’s Seafood’s boss Leendert de Hollander quit the firm and the Knowledge Transfer Network appointed its first ever ceo.
There were also changes at Diageo, Morrisons, Red Tractor, Campden BRI and the Food Standards Agency.
