Snack and salad firm appoints new head of technical
Snack salad and vegetable manufacturer Freshtime UK appointed Malcolm Read to the role of head of technical, this month.
Read will take overall responsibility for all technical aspects of production at the Lincolnshire-based firm, including the quality of raw materials, transportation and food safety.
The firm said his appointment was part of its plans for growth.
Freshtime UK md, Mark Newton, said: “Food safety is absolutely critical for our business and Malcolm’s experience and expertise will be vital in helping Freshtime to move to the next level. Overseeing quality and safety, from the field where the crop is grown to the fridge, is an enormously important job.”
