Former British Poultry Council boss wins international role
The International Poultry Council appointed a policy affairs consultant to tackle issues that concern the global poultry industry, this month.
Peter Bradnock will work work with international organisations such as the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the UN, the World Organisation for Animal Health, the World Health Organisation and the Codex Alimentarius Commission to address concerns.
The former British Poultry Council (BPC) chief executive will take up the position on a part-time basis.
Bradnock led the BPC for 20 years, until his retirement last year.
Members of the IPC unanimously approved the committee’s recommendation to appoint a consultant to monitor poultry policy issues at a recent meeting in Geneva.
