Karma Cola launches sugar-free fizzy drink
Beverage manufacturer Karma Cola has released its first sugar free and natural cola drink.
Karma Cola uses the natural sweetener stevia to replace the sugar in the drink, while roasted organic barley malt is used to add depth of colour and flavour. Organic lemon juice in the drink helps to “sharpen the taste and citrusy top notes”, said Karma.
The drink was launched in restaurants in London, including Jamie’s Italian and Barbecoa.
Simon Coley, co-founder of Karma Cola, said: “We’ve taken our great tasting original Karma Cola recipe and used the natural sweetener stevia to take out the sugar. It’s the natural alternative to diet and zero colas made with artificial sweeteners and preservatives.”
