The right type of sweet: ‘World’s first 3D gummy printer
The “world’s first” 3D gummy printer was set to wow UK consumers, when Katjes’ Magic Candy Factory launched its custom-made sweet service in shopping centres across the country.
Katjes partnered with shopping centre group Intu and retailer Calendar club to launch its specially designed 3D printers which ‘print’ gummy sweets in shopping locations in the UK.
The 3D printers allow consumers to design their own confectionery creations – from messages on greetings cards to gummies in the shape of animals – that are made in five minutes are less.
Found Melissa Snover said: “I believe we have an amazing opportunity and also a responsibility to 3D printing and to confectionery to go out and spread magic all over the world.”
