A ‘cloudy’ beer – in a good way
Brewery Innis & Gunn has ditched using terrestrial water for its newest beer and instead has harvested it from the sky.
A four-person team from the brewery flew a special kite over the Devil’s Beef Tub, a deep, ‘dramatic’ hollow in the hills north of the Scottish town of Moffat, to collect moisture from the clouds.
The team collected enough water to brew 500 pints of its limited edition Indian pale ale, Sky PA, which was available exclusively to investors through the crowdfunding site Crowdcube.
