Samworth Brothers create new brands director role
Leicestershire-based food manufacturer Samworth Brothers appointed Richard Marris to the newly created role of brands director.
Marris will take responsibility for Ginsters, Soreen and the Ginsters Van Company and future branded acquisitions.
The former Tesco director will join Samworth Brothers on November 2 2105. Marris spent 14 years at Tesco, most recently as commercial director for fresh foods.
Samworth Brothers ceo Lindsey Pownall said the new structure would provide a clearer focus for the firm’s brands.
“Over the past few years our brand portfolio has been developing strongly,” he said.
“Ginsters has seen continued success and Soreen, which we acquired last year, has proved to be an excellent addition.”
