800 jobs to go at 2 Sisters and Avana Bakeries
The largest job cuts announced were 800 at 2 Sisters Food Group’s Gunstones bakery and Avana Bakeries – previously owned by 2SFG and now owned by Utopia Foods.
2SFG cut 112 jobs at Gunstones, in Derbyshire in August, and planned for a further 300 more to go this month.
Utopia Foods started consulting on up to 390 jobs at the Avana Bakeries site in Newport, Wales in August.
