Retail
Retailers have boosted the food industry’s job count considerably in recent months.
Aldi announced it would create 35,000 UK jobs over the next eight years in November 2014.
This week, Waitrose revealed it would create 2,000 jobs in stores and at a new e-commerce grocery depot over the course of 2015.
As the jobs at Aldi and Waitrose will be filled primarily by in store retail workers, they are not included in our list.
