Cargill appoints director to oversee Tesco
Cargill has appointed a commercial director for its European poultry business to manage its relationship with Tesco.
Julian Culshaw joined Cargill from Greencore, where had been commercial controller for prepared meals since 2012.
Before this, he led the commercial relationship with Tesco in the bakery and chilled convenience categories at Greencore.
He said it was a “very exciting time” to be joining Cargill, as it invested in the UK poultry industry to satisfy the growing demand for fresh UK reared chicken from retailers and consumers.
Cargill invested £35M to upgrade its poultry processing hub in Hereford and offer retailers and foodservice customers a boost of supplies of UK-sourced chickens, earlier this month.
