Bake Off judge receives two awards
Great British Bake Off (GBBO) judge Mary Berry was honoured with two awards this month.
The 79-year-old baker was given both the freedom of the city of London and made a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Bakers.
During a 40-year-career in the industry she has written 80 books, starred in numerous television programmes and been cookery editor of Housewife and Ideal Home magazines.
Earlier this year, the food industry praised the GBBO’s youngest ever contestant Martha Collison for improving its image during her time on the show.
