Morrisons’ interim results: past year’s challenges
Online grocery boss quits after weeks
Morrisons’ online grocery service boss quit just weeks after being handed the role, in January.
George Dymond joined the retailer after working with the Australian retailer Coles, where he was group general manager of merchandise.
He was supposed to oversee Morrisons’ online grocery delivery service, which it started with Ocado in the beginning of the month.
Morrisons has refused to confirm or deny the report. A spokesman told FoodManufacture.co.uk: “It is our policy never to comment on individuals within our business.”
According to a report in the Financial Times: “Some people familiar with the situation suggested that the role had not turned out to be what Mr Dymond was expecting.”
Dymond is now group operations development director at Tesco.
