Burton’s makes appointment to boost global expansion
The Burton’s Biscuit Company appointed Stephen Carson as its international business development manager in a bid to boost its international expansion.
Carson joined from The Topps Company, where he held the role of general manager international confectionery since 2009.
Burton’s is currently looking to capitalise on “opportunities in the $48bn global biscuit category”.
Ben Clarke, Burton’s Biscuit Company ceo, said Carson would be “vital” for this strategy.
“Our iconic British products have always been well received in international markets, so we’re positive Carson will lead our business and brands into new, exciting market places, and help delight and excite consumers abroad, just as we do in the UK and Ireland,” he added.
