Seafood Scotland makes key appointment
Industry body Seafood Scotland has appointed Donna Fordyce as an industry engagement specialist, to support the organisation’s engagement strategy within the seafood sector.
Fordyce will be responsible for engaging with the seafood industry to identify the barriers to growth, highlighting new market opportunities and supporting the delivery of Seafood Scotland projects.
She brings 15 years’ experience in business development and six years’ experience in the food and drink sector, including a seafood remit for Scottish Enterprise.
Patrick Hughes, head of Seafood Scotland, said: “Donna has a passion for the seafood sector and has excellent knowledge of the industry, its sub-sectors and supply chains.
“With her solid business development background, Donna is hugely respected within the Scottish food and drink network, Scottish government and amongst other key stakeholders for her knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing the sector.”
