Potato supplier Branston has appointed Jonathon Taylor as general manager for its site in Ilminster, Somerset.
Taylor has over 20 years’ experience in the food industry, having performed operational and management roles at Kerry Foods, QV Foods and Brake Bros.
For the past four years, Taylor has been the general manager of Westaway Sausages, responsible for the operation of the company’s family-owned factory.
During his time at the company, he supported the growth and development of the brand – in particular the development of a frozen range to run alongside its fresh offering.
Taylor said: “I am really excited to join Branston. It is a company with the perfect mix of success, personality and friendliness and I really look forward to getting to know and working with the team.”
Ian Wait, who had previously been fulfilling the general manger role at the Branston South West site, was promoted and joined the executive board as operations director.
