2. 2 Sisters’ Gunstones Bakery ‘could cut up to 524 jobs’
In second place, Convenience Foods, which trades as Gunstones Bakery – one of 2 Sisters Food Group’s main divisions – considered up to 524 redundancies, it emerged in September, after the company lost a contract with a major supplier for its chilled filled rolls, sushi and garlic bread.
The company had written to trade union representatives to begin consultations on the proposed redundancies, FoodManufacture.co.uk revealed.
