Plum and port puddings for Christmas
Pudding maker Matthew Walker has launched two new products, golden mulled plum and port Christmas Pudding and Guinness fruit pudding.
The manufacturer said the puddings were created off the back of the current trend of mixing alcohol into the cooking process.
The puddings can be heated in a microwave or cooked traditionally in a steamer.
Sarah Gibbon, senior category manager at Matthew Walker, said: “People are now leaning more towards the rich, deep flavours you get when you infuse puddings with different types of alcohol.
“Dependent on the nature of the pudding we’re creating, we either add alcohol at the start, middle or end of the cooking process in order to maximise the flavours during the cook.”
