Lewis was also keen on changing the culture of the business by empowering staff to make decisions.
He said his dad had previously taken a very top-down approach, where everybody would tell him everything, and he would make the decisions.
“I don’t want staff coming to me with the smallest of questions. I want them to be able to feel they are able make those decisions,” Lewis said.
“Even if they get them wrong, I’ll back them up and support them, and we’ll learn from them. That’s a key change of culture for us.”
