The company has also been busy developing new products, launching the Wilfred’s hand-finished range of pies to coincide with St David’s Day, on March 1.
Made with ingredients sourced mainly from Welsh suppliers, the range includes the likes of The Saucy Cow, with Welsh beef steak; The Fiery Chick, with Collier’s Welsh cheddar; and The Lamb of my Fathers, with Welsh lamb and local laver bread.
According to Lewis, van sales will be an important outlet for the products, but the company is also looking at the likes of delis, butchers and cafés.
