Former United Biscuits boss joins Tyrrells
Tyrrells created a new role of international md and appointed former United Biscuits boss Paul Parkins to the position.
Parkins was md for United Biscuits’ Irish business for four years, before joining potato firm Albert Bartlett & Sons as md.
His appointment follows Tyrrells’ acquisition of Yarra Valley Snack Foods in Australia in July 2015.
Tyrrells is established in 37 countries and its global presence accounts for approximately 25% of its turnover.
Tyrrells coe David Milner said Parkins’ passion and experience within the food sector were second to none.
“We are in an exciting position following our recent Australian expansion and want to ensure we have all the correct tools and resources in place to take our plan one step further globally,” he said.
“I look forward to working with Parkins to help accelerate the international growth of the brand and drive our international agenda forward.”
