Asda shops at Sainsbury for new boss
Asda revealed it shopped at Sainsbury for its new chief operating officer Roger Burnley.
Asda had been searching for a chief operating officer since ceo Andy Clarke made changes to the leadership structure.
But the retailer will have to wait until next year to welcome Burnley through its doors as he is currently employed by a direct competitor.
Burnley, who is currently retail and operations director at Sainsbury, will return to Asda in 2016 after a spell with the retailer between 1996 and 2002.
Clarke said he was looking forward to welcoming his former colleague back to Asda.
