Food industry expert appointed to Red Tractor scheme
Assured Food Standards (AFS) has appointed former Food and Drink Federation president Jim Moseley as chairman of its Red Tractor scheme.
Moseley will succeed David Gregory at the end of November, who has held the role for the past six years.
Moseley has almost 40 years’ experience in the food and drink industry, including 15 years as md of General Mills UK, 12 years as sales and marketing director at Tulip and chairman of The Provision Trade Federation and a board member of FoodDrinkEurope.
Gregory said he was delighted that such a high calibre candidate with vast experience of the food and drink industry had been appointed as his successor.
“I have every confidence that Moseley is the right person to continue to lead the organisation at what is a crucial time of change in the food and farming industry, which will bring both challenges and opportunities for AFS and the industry as a whole.”
