The limited-edition label aimed to ‘inspire the spirit of celebration’ through a crown-shaped illustration that features Buckingham Palace at its heart, decked with purple and gold bunting and a banner proclaiming the Coronation Edition for 2023.

Charlotte Gibbon, category marketing director, Gins, Pimm’s, Bailey’s & Non-Alcoholic, Diageo GB, said: “Pimm’s has a long association with British summertime and events. With The Coronation taking place in May, as well as events such as Wimbledon and Royal Ascot, Pimm’s is the perfect accompaniment to these moments.

“The Coronation-inspired illustration is an exciting addition to the much-loved Pimm’s No.1 Cup and we hope people make the most of these occasions and enjoy a glass of Pimm’s during the get-togethers with friends and families.”

Regal releases from Walkers

Sensations
New flavours from Sensations

Walkers has launched two new flavours in its Sensations premium crisp range in the run up to the coronation.

King Prawn Cocktail and Regal Lamb and Mint feature a regal themed design which has been extended to the brand’s best-selling SKU, Thai Sweet Chilli.

Walkers hoped to tap into the growing meat and seafood potato chip flavour formats – meat flavours represent 28% of salty flavour occasions for evening snacks, while seafood has grown more than 5%.

Lynn Grant, marketing manager of Walkers Sensations, said: “It’s not every day that the nation is able to celebrate such a historical moment like the Coronation. Following value growth of +16% for Sensations in 2022’s Platinum Jubilee year, we’re launching two new limited-edition flavours to help consumers celebrate another iconic event.

“The packs allow us to support retailers in maximising the sales opportunity around the occasion with sharing formats being perfect for social gatherings.”

Sensations’ Limited Edition Coronation range is available now until the end of the Coronation weekend.
