Cadbury descendant launches chocolate brand
Confectionery manufacturer Love Cocoa is to launch three new flavours, after securing its first retail listing.
The firm is to start supplying upmarket retailer Fortnum & Mason, almost 200 years since founder James Cadbury’s great-great grandfather, George Cadbury, secured a listing there.
Cadbury said: “It’s a landmark moment to be stocking Love Cocoa in the iconic Fortnum & Mason. We’re following in the footsteps of my great-great grandfather, who did exactly the same 200 years ago.
“This year is set to be an exciting one as we look to grow the business and diversify our offering to match consumers' demand for personalised products. It’s sweet history in the making.”
The three new flavours will be added by the third quarter of 2017. The new bars will be free-from gluten, refined sugars, soya and dairy.
