Limagrain launches 'recipe improving' toasted cereal flours and grains range

Toasted ingredients include NutriCorn a non-defatted toasted maize germ made from traced maize. Its nutty flavour allows it to substitute nuts with products that are more nutritional, Limagrain said.
Rounded flavour
NutriWheat is a flaked toasted wheat germ that provides a rounded flavour. Toasted BrokenWheat, meanwhile, has a flavour that can lend itself to many different products, the company claimed.
Flours include semolinas and gluten-free maize, alongside native varieties such as rye, maize, oats and barley. There is also masa flour, which is used for making tortillas.
Salt reduction
Limagrain has also introduced a range aimed at improving recipes by reducing salt, fat and sugar content with ingredients that are functional, but still clean-label.
It includes wholegrain flours, stabilised fibres, and stabilised and toasted germs.
