Inside CCE Milton Keynes
Most lines are more than half the age of the site, with some reaching 28 this year, according to Nixon.
The site received a £3.5M investment to increase the capacity of its tank farm over a two-year period in 2013.
Four 20t capacity tank pairs were installed at the site to improve CCE Milton Keynes’s ability to handle ingredients, said Nixon.
‘Improving efficiency’
“It [the tank farm investment] was all about improving efficiency and reducing the dependence on manual handling,” he added.
“It also allows us to manage our bulk loads more safely.”
A further £2.5M was invested into the site last year, following a £52M company-wide investment plan, which allowed the site to carry out some energy-saving work.
