New boss for Heineken’s Ireland business
Heineken appointed Maggie Timoney as the new md for its Ireland business this month.
Timoney replaced David Forde who left the business in May.
Forde departed to become md of Heineken UK as part of a management restructuring at the brewer.
Timoney had served as chief people officer for Heineken's US business since 2010. Before that, she was general manager at Heineken’s Canada unit for four years.
Her appointment highlighted a growing trend among food and drink businesses of appointing women to their boards.
