Heath loses out in PM reshuffle
David Heath lost his job as food and farming minister as part of David Cameron’s government reshuffle this month.
Heath, who took over the role from Jim Paice just over a year ago, was replaced by Liberal Democrat MP for North Cornwall Dan Rogerson.
Heath, who is Liberal Democrat MP for Somerset and Frome, helped launch an initiative to build young people’s job skills and entice them to work in the food sector last month.
Meanwhile earlier this year, he told FoodManufacture.co.uk that UK food and drink manufacturers were having an “enormous impact” on Britain’s economic recovery in an exclusive podcast.
