Lincolnshire-based ingredients supplier Sleaford Quality Foods has added a new category buyer to its team.

New appointment Clare Bullivant will be responsible for the procurement of a range of raw material categories for the business.

She will be tasked with ensuring products are procured from suppliers who deliver excellent quality and innovation to suit Sleaford Quality Foods – and customers’ requirements.

Previously at Bakkavor and Premier Foods, Bullivant has worked throughout the supply chain process and has worked in a range of different business sectors, such as wholesale gardening, ambient/chilled food, as well as the pet food sector.

‘Ambitious growth plans’

Bullivant said: “I knew of Sleaford Quality Foods from my days of working at Premier Foods and knew they were a stable and growing business with great potential and open to new ideas and ways of working to help improve customer service to our customers. I'm really happy to part of a company that has such ambitious growth plans.”

James Arnold, managing director of Sleaford Quality Foods, added: “Clare is a great addition to our team. She'll use her huge experience to drive areas such as Category Management and system/process knowledge forward. It's fantastic to have her on board.”

In March, the business relocated to an eight-acre site in a multi-million pound move to meet growing demand for its dried fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices.

It also launched a range of recyclable packaging products in an effort to reduce plastic usage.
