Rice recalled after incorrect allergen labelling
Everest Cash & Carry has recalled its Fried Beaten Rice with Spiced Poppadum Potato & Peanuts, because it contained gluten that was not correctly mentioned on the label.
The product posed a health risk to consumers with coeliac disease or anyone with an intolerance to gluten.
The recall applied to 350g packs of the products with the best-before date of May 2019.
Coeliacs and individuals with an intolerance to gluten were advised to no eat the product and instead return it to the store it was purchased from for a full refund.
