Beaminster-based Clipper Teas was founded in 1984 by husband and wife Mike and Lorraine Brehme, who laid down the principles that all ingredients were to be ethically sourced and naturally produced.
In 2007, they sold the business to asset company Fleming Family & Partners, and five years later it was bought by Dutch firm Royal Wessanen – one of Europe’s leading organic food companies.
The leading brand continues to be the black tea, but in recent years green tea, fruit and herbal infusions, white tea and speciality tea has grown in popularity.
