Weetabix leads this photogallery of the top food and drink industry deals reported by the Food Manufacture group.

The breakfast manufacturer was sold to US-based Post Holdings in a deal worth about £1.4bn, the most expensive acquisition reported this year.

This year saw the sale of Addo Food Group to Lloyds Development Capital and Glanbia’s acquisitions of Amazing Grass and Body & Fit.

Also featured in this gallery are acquisitions by Marston’s, Real Good Food and Samworth Brothers.

Meanwhile, 2 Sisters Food Group, Krispy Kreme and Mondelēz International featured in the Food Manufacture Group’s top 10 mergers and acquisitions of 2016.
