British Frozen Food Federation chief executive Brian Young shared his thoughts on the obesity epidemic and how it has influenced reformulation.
Young: “Over recent years salt and saturated fat reduction and reformulation has been the focus while sugar tends to be found mainly in desserts which are generally consumed as a treat.
“In that category the rise in gluten-free products has been the most significant trend.”
